One of the most popular and well-known ways to quit smoking is cold turkey. Someone even say that the only way to quit smoking is to not smoke anymore. For some people it is easier to quit smoking using the cold turkey method than by using any other technique. Anyway, cold turkey is the method by which the smoker has great chances of success. It may also be the most difficult due to the severity of withdrawal symptoms.

You should know that you are ready to quit, first of all. Secondly, you need to know that you do not get anything useful from smoking, that is one of the most important things for people to be able to quit. If you are not feeling the bad health effects of smoking, you are probably not sure that smoking is going to kill you; instead, maybe you feel that smoking help you to relax and to feel balanced.

After three days, the nicotine is out of your system, but cravings for an occasional cigarette may continue, but not to a physical dependence. Once the smoker stops, withdrawal will end within two weeks.
